Obituary of Ray Kenworthy
Ray M. Kenworthy, 91, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died December 23, 2010 at Harbor Place of Port St. Lucie.
Born in Crown Point, Indiana, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 25 years coming from Valparaiso, Indiana.
Before retiring he was an electrical engineer for Sargent Electric of Pittsburgh and Chicago.
During World War II, he served in the US Army 82 Airborne. He was a member of The 82nd Airborne Division Association.
Survivors include son, Arthur Kenworthy of Atlanta; brothers, Robert Kenworthy of Portland, Michigan, James Kenworthy of Longmont, Colorado and Randall Kenworthy of Valparaiso; a sister Ruth Phillips of Valparaiso and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rochella M. Kenworthy in 2008; a son, Michael Kenworthy in 1996; a sister Marge Thompson and a brother Roger Kenworthy who also died December 23, 2010.
SERVICES: Visitation will be on December 29, 2010 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a service at 2:00 PM at Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel. Interment will follow with military honors in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
