Obituary of Raymond Gelineau
Raymond J. Gelineau, 87, of Indiantown, FL, passed away July 2, 2014 at the Hospice of Okeechobee County Hospice Hamrick House, Okeechobee, FL. Born in Lowell, MA, he had been a resident of Indiantown for over 20 years and a resident of Florida for 30 years, coming from Tewksbury, MA.
During WWII he served in the U.S.Navy.
Prior to retirement he had been the owner/operator of a variety/package store.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Indiantown.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Jeannie Gelineau of Indiantown; his daughters, Roseanne Carpenter and her husband Gary of Warwick, RI, Pauline "Chicky" Hanson and her companion Dave of Dover, NH, Elaine Martel of Port St. Lucie, Denise Lupoli and her husband Samuel of Tewksbury; his son Raymond R. Gelineau of Lowell; his sisters, Theresa Reid and her husband Fred of Chelmsford, MA and Aline "Peanut" Parent of Indiantown; thirteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Gelineau in 1981.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Indiantown.
Local arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. Arrangements in Lowell, MA are under the direction of the Fay-McCabe Funeral Home.
