Obituary of Raymond Schlentner
Raymond R. Schlentner, 95, of Stuart, FL, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Salerno Bay Manor, Stuart, FL. Born in Leetsdale, PA he had been a resident of Miles Grant in Stuart for many years.
During World War II he served as a medic in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in the Pacific Theatre.
Before retiring he had been a Communications Consultant with Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was an active member of Peace Presbyterian Church, Stuart. He was a champion golfer as a member of the Miles Grant Country Club, and was a member of the 18 Holers and the 9 Holers Clubs. He also enjoyed playing bridge.
A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his daughters, Susan Renehan of Alexandria, VA and Debra Haas of Loveland, CO; a granddaughter, Molly Douglas and her husband Brian; grandsons, Brian Renehan and his wife Sarah, Gary Haas and his wife Ashley and Nathan Haas and his wife Claudia; eight great grandchildren and his brother, Herbert Schlentner and his wife Mary Lou. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Schlentner and his sisters, Erna and Johanna.
