Obituary of Richard Bedell
Richard L. Dick Bedell, 81, of Palm City, Florida, died May 28, 2008 at his home.
Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, he had been a resident of Palm City for 15 years coming from Dover
and West Falmouth, Massachusetts.
During World War II he served in the US Navy in the Pacific.
He was a graduate of the University of Syracuse, Syracuse, New York.
He was the owner and chief operating officer of the Lashette Company of Natick, Massachusetts for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Stuart Congregational Church and a past member of the Pipers Landing Country Club, Palm City, the Wellesley Country Club and the Woods Hole Country Club, both in Massachusetts. He enjoyed boating, fishing, skiing, investing, golf and travel.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara S. Bedell of Palm City; daughters Suzin Bedell-Healy of Boston, Massachusetts and Amy Lee Bedell of Chicago, Illinois; a son Richard L. Bedell Jr., of Reno Nevada and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Natalie Bedell.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 12:30 PM on June 2, 2008 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with the Rev. Randy Hasse officiating. Military Honor will also be presented by the US Navy.
