Richard Granville Craddock II, M.D.
May 3, 1933 - February 19, 2020

Dr. Richard G. Craddock, 86, of Stuart, went to be with the Lord on 2/19/2020 after a short illness.

Richard was born in Abilene, Texas on May 3, 1933 to Elizabeth Jeter Eastland and Richard Granville Craddock.

He graduated from Mineral Wells High School, Southern Methodist University and Baylor Medical School (Class of 1960).

He served as a ship's surgeon for the US Coast Guard, worked as a Medical Officer for NASA and practiced Internal Medicine (with specialty in Cardiology) for over 50 years.  He enjoyed working in private practice as well as in emergency rooms and rehab centers.  Later in life, he found great joy volunteering his services at the Christian Community Care Center.

He was a devout Christian and enjoyed church, Bible study, and fellowship.  He was known for his kindness, compassion, love of coffee and food, and for telling funny (and not so funny) jokes and stories.  He was an excellent husband, father and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife Rosalie (Spillman) of 16 years; daughter Eileen Pamela (David) Schneegas, of Bremerton WA; daughter Jeanmarie (Stanley) Oien of Oviedo, FL; son Sean Richard Craddock of Orlando, FL; stepson Philip Edward (Theresa) Spillman of Florence, KY; stepdaughter Sharon Spillman and step-granddaughter Rachel Buchannan.  He is preceded in death by wife Joan (Thievon) in 2001.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29th at 2:00pm at the Jensen Beach Christian Church,1980 NE Church Street, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.  A reception immediately following will be held at the Jensen Beach Community Center, 1912 NE Jensen Beach Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's honor to the Christian Community Care Center, 433 SE Ocean Blvd, Stuart, FL 34996.  (TAX ID# 33-1198951 501C3)
