Dr. Richard John Freiheit died unexpectedly on July 13, 2022, of natural causes at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Adrienne (Codella), Sister Mary Elizabeth Kirk of Manchester, CT, his Brother William of Vero Beach and son Richard William of Bracketville, TX and niece and nephews.

He was born in Manchester, CT in 1937 and graduated from Mt. Herman School in Mass. He then completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University in Boston, Mass. He received his D.D.S. at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dentistry.

After Dental School he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan. After completing his enlistment he returned to Manchester, CT and practiced dentistry for 40 years.

He moved to Palm city, Fl from his home in Glastonbury, CT in 2000 and enjoyed retirement. An avid boat enthusiast, he earned a Masters License from the Coast Guard, and was an active member of the Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club. He enjoyed many years of fishing off the coast of New England and the waters of Florida.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Palm City.
