Richard S. Jensen, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Palm City, Florida, passed away on September 26, 2017 at the Saint Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, he had be a resident of Palm City since 1972 coming from Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Before retiring he was a technician for several telephone companies, starting with New Jersey Bell and when he came to Florida he was with Southern Bell/Bellsouth which later became AT&T.

Survivors include his son, William Jensen, James Jensen and Scott Jensen all of Port St. Lucie; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his brother, Peter Jensen of South Carolina and his sister Barbara Jensen of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruthann Jensen and his daughter-in-law Judy Jensen.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
