Obituary of Richard Kriss
Richard A. Kriss, 72, of St. Augustine, formerly of Stuart and Indiantown, passed away July 6, 2014 at Malcolm Randall VA Hospital in Gainesville. He was born March 1, 1942 in New York City, NY, and had been a resident of the Stuart and Indiantown area since 1957 before moving to St. Augustine in 2006. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Indiantown Volunteer Ambulance Service. He was a Teamster of Local 769 before retirement. Richard was an avid fisherman and loved boating.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Kriss of St. Augustine; mother, Elsie Pickelsimer of Stuart; brother, Ed Kriss of Stuart; son, Richard Kriss, Jr of Hobe Sound; Daughter, Toni Kriss-Oliveira of Bentonville, AR; son, Cody Kriss of Bella Vista, AR.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Kriss and son, Duane Kriss
Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Federal Point- East Palatka, Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Richard.
