Obituary of Richard Schroder
Richard L. Schroder, 85, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away August 15, 2009 at William Childs Hospice House. He was born March 13, 1924 in Indonesia. He came to the United States in 1961 from Holland, and became a U. S. citizen. He had been a resident of Florida since 1986, having moved from Indianapolis, IN. He was a machinist for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company for 25 years before retiring. Richard was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Schroder of Palm Bay; daughter, Ingrid Chappell Esamann of Indianapolis, IN; sons, Rudy Schroder of Indianapolis, IN and Erwin Schroder of St. Paul, IN; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 sister and several nieces and nephews in Holland.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the William Childs Hospice House, Hospice of Health First, 3462 N. Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935 in Richard's memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
