Rita J. Camuccio, 94, of Thousand Oaks, California and Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on September 24, 2018 in California.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being the wife of a career Coast Guardsman, she lived in numerous places in the eastern United States including Elizabeth City North Carolina, Mobile Alabama, St. Petersburg Florida, Willingboro, Sandy Hook, New Jersey and Buffalo New York.  She moved to Florida in 1971 and had been a resident of Stuart, Florida for 28 years, before moving to Coral Springs and eventually to Thousand Oaks, CA.

Rita was a homemaker, her favorite past time was cooking for her family especially for their special occasions. She had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. Joseph Camuccio and his wife Maggie of Coral Springs, FL, Lieutenant Commander, Robert J. Camuccio USCG (retired) and his wife Dayamis of Key Largo, FL, and Dr. David Camuccio and his wife Marie of Thousand Oaks, CA ; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Mario J. Camuccio in 2013 and her brothers, Carl Papa and Mario Papa.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, with a prayer service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment will follow immediately in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
