Rita Ann Fusco Draetta, 83, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on 8/12/2026, peacefully surrounded by love.

Rita was born on March 31, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, to Ernest and Mary Fusco. A true Bronx girl at heart, she carried that strength, warmth, and big love with her throughout her life.

On her journey she found the love of her life, Albert Draetta. They shared 49 beautiful years of marriage before his passing. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another.

What Rita loved most was being Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. Nothing made her happier than a house full of family, a crowded kitchen table, and lots of laughter. She had an endless capacity to love her children and her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and she let each of them know every day how proud she was of them.

Rita is survived by her loving children, daughter Rita Boan, daughter Marina Nuzum, and son Gerard Draetta; her 11 cherished grandchildren; her 2 adored great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert Draetta and her parents, Ernest and Mary Fusco.

Her family will remember her for her warm heart, her fierce love for her family, her kindness, and the comfort she brought to everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and who adored her right back.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
