Robert "Bob" Bednarz was born in Newark, NJ to John and Irene Kudelko Bednarz on St. Patrick's Day 1943. He was raised in Westfield NJ where, as a teenager, he met Janice Wall. They married four years later and celebrated 60 years of marriage in August 2024.

Throughout his extensive career as a sales representative, he was known to all his accounts as "Friendly Bob". He loved Florida retirement at Miles Grant in Stuart, where, having never played before, he fell in love with golf. He also emceed trivia at the club. Bob was a lifelong NY Giants fan, no matter their record, and he had a well-known obsession with fantasy football.
He also enjoyed Monmouth Racecourse, softball with the Cigar League, and, most of all, playing hearts with his buddies on the beach at Takanassee Beach Club.

Surviving are his wife, Janice; sons Brian (Kelly) and Scott; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Chris) Vitucci and Connor, as well as nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Irene Bednarz, and his siblings, John and Barbara.
