Obituary

Robert S. "Bob" DeCesare Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Stage 4 Mesothelioma cancer. He also lived with Parkinson's disease for many years and was lovingly cared for by Yvie Lafleur, Treasure Coast Hospice, and Health at Home.

Bob was the beloved husband of Sandra (Owings) DeCesare for 51 years. They had a loving family that was the center of his life. He is survived by his children:

Teresa Anderson and her husband, Mark, of Sandown, New Hampshire; Lisa Querci and her husband, Joe, of Hampstead, New Hampshire; and David DeCesare and his wife, Yaqui, of Hampstead, New Hampshire. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert "Rob" DeCesare Jr., whose memory lives on through- his wife, Charlene (Coraccio) DeCesare, and their children. Bob was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Anthony DeCesare, and his wife, Linda, of Florida, along with several nieces. Bob also leaves behind his dear friends, Evie O'Rourke, mother of Rob, Lisa, and David, and her husband, Kevin O'Rourke.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and raised in Salem, New Hampshire, Bob grew up on Arlington Pond, where he developed a lifelong love of boating, water skiing, family cookouts, and time spent with those he loved. He served for many years as Vice President of the Arlington Pond Protective Association (APPA).

An avid golfer, Bob enjoyed many rounds with friends and helped organize Easter Seals golf tournaments in Manchester, New Hampshire. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and love of family touched everyone who knew him.

The family is being served by Forest Hills Palm City Chapel in Palm City, Florida. In accordance with Bob's wishes, no services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Bob's legacy of love, friendship, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
