Robert L. Brooks, 91, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Martin Medical Center, Stuart.
Born in Malone, NY, he had been a resident of Stuart for 21 years coming from Liverpool, NY.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Before retiring he was an engineer with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. for 35 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6241 in Stuart, where he was a Past Grand Knight and the Knights of Columbus Council in Baldwinsville, NY. He also had been a member of The B.P.O. Elks Stuart-Jensen Lodge 1870 and Lodge 2348 in Liverpool, NY.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Erickson and her husband Edward of Liverpool, Kim M. Brooks and B. Ellen Brooks both of Stuart; his son, Robert A. Brooks of Fort Mill, SC; his granddaughters, Michele Watson of Liverpool, Tracy Burke of New Port Richie, FL and Jordyn Brooks of Fort Mill, SC; his grandson, Cole A. Brooks of Fort Mill, SC; his brother Lee Brooks of Brighton, MI; his sister, Ann Goodin of Malone, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara S. Brooks in 2015 and his brother, Jack Brooks.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. He will be inurned in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
