Obituary of Robert Burton

ROBERT K. BURTON, age 82, of Stuart, Florida and Carmichael, CA, died on April 18, 2008 at Martin Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Burton was born on April 18, 1926 in Sanford, Maine to Kenneth and Florence (Patton) Burton. He worked for National Cash Register for many years in Syracuse, NY and in 1959, he moved to California after attaining his Real Estate Brokers License. He had been a winter Resident of Stuart for the past eight years. Mr. Burton was a US Air Force Veteran, he loved golf, traveling in his RV, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Good Sams Club in CA and the Masonic Lodge in Herman, Maine.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela A. (Elwin) Stillman of Lowville, NY and Carolyn J. Douglas of Port St. Lucie, FL, four grandchildren, Philip, Joy, Kelly and Wendy, five great-grandchildren, Kilian, Nathan, Alex, Zachary and Zane. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles Burton of CA and Norman Burton of Maine.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990.
