Obituary of Robert Coppock

Robert Lee Coppock, 84, of Palm City, passed away December 16, 2009 at Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care Center in Stuart. He was born in Chicago, IL, and had been a resident of Palm City for 35 years, having moved from Jacksonville. He was retired as a Chief Warrant Officer from the U.S. Army after serving 20 years. He served during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and he received many awards, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. While living in Jacksonville he worked for the Public Defender's office. After moving to Palm City, he then worked as an investigator and polygraphist for the Public Defender's office under Elton Schwartz. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in California.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine Coppock of Palm City; daughters, Susan Turner of CA and Dale Coppock of CO; son, Richard Coppock of SC; step daughter, Peggy Fuller of FL; step son, Thomas Hokit of CA; 2 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother Bill R. Coppock.

No services will be held.
