Obituary of Robert Crawford

Robert J. Bob Crawford, 85, of Palm City, Florida, died October 7, 2007 at Parkway Health and Rehabilitation in Stuart, Florida.

Born in Anita, Iowa, he had be a resident of Palm City, Florida for 9 years coming from Boonton, New Jersey.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University.

Before retiring he was chemical engineer and had been employed for 25 years with Allied Chemical, New York, NY and for 29 years with American Cyanamid Co., Wayne, New Jersey.

He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, where he was a member of the choir and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Boonton. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus but in Stuart and in Boonton.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ceil Crawford of Palm City; sons David R. Crawford of Laurel Springs, New Jersey and Thomas W. Crawford of Oceanport, New Jersey; daughters Barbara J. McIntosh and Alice M. Paoleschi both of Palm City; a sister Martha Stephenson of Anita, Iowa and 7 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Crawford, Jr. and a sister, Betsy Ruggles.

SERVICES: Visitation will be October 9, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City during which there will a video memorial tribute presented. There will also be a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, October 10, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Mulqueen, Pastor, as celebrant, immediately followed by interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
