Obituary of Robert Elder, III

Robert J. Elder III, 51, of Sewall's Point, FL, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 surrounded by loving family.

Rob was born on January 1, 1964 in West Palm Beach, FL. Although Rob was a native Floridian, he lived in various places throughout his childhood. He attended Florida State University where he received a degree in Accounting and Finance. He then attended Nova Southeastern University Law School, where he met his wife, Elysse, of 19 years.

He was a resident of Sewall's Point, FL, where he lived for the past 19 years with his wife raising their three sons. Rob worked as an attorney at the law firm of Crary Buchanan in Stuart for 16 years. He was very active in his children's lives and in the community serving as a coach in all of the various sports they played. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart.

Rob was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Rob is survived by his wife, Elysse Elder; his sons, Robert J. Elder IV, Jake C. Elder and Matthew J. Elder; his parents, Robert J. and Mary Elder all of Sewall's Point and his sister, Brande Cobb and her husband Chris of Okeechobee, FL.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a Vigil Prayer at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
