Obituary of Robert Israels

Robert J. Israels, 86, of Palm City, FL passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart.

Born in Holland, Michigan, he had lived in Palm City for 14 years coming from Lighthouse Point, Broward County, FL.

Post World War II he served in the U.S. Army.

Before retiring he was owner and operator, with his brother, of Israels Bros. Plastering Inc. in Fort Lauderdale for over 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Israels of Palm City; his sons, Mark Joseph Israels and his wife Kathy of Hobe Sound, FL, Craig Lee Israels and his wife Christina of Bayfield, CO, Scott Michael Israels and his wife Susan of Yuma, AZ and David Jon Israels and his wife Teresa of Pompano Beach, FL; his brother, Roger Israels and his wife Gladys of Fort Lauderdale; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stuart.

There will be a service at a later date at First United Methodist Church of Stuart and inurnment will be in South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL with military honors.
