Obituary of Robert Post
Robert Bob M. Post Jr., passed away July 30, 2007 at his residence. Bob was born in Miami, April 14, 1946. From childhood, Bob split his time, 6 months in Florida and 6 months in Long Island.
Bob graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in 1969. He received his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1972.
After spending 17 years as an attorney in Long Island, he moved permanently to Martin County in 1987 to assist with the family business in Indiantown. Bob took over the helm of The Indiantown Companies. and grew it to the conglomerate it is today, consisting of The Indiantown Telephone Co. one of the last independently owned phone companies in the U.S.
Bob was on the Airport Advisory Committee, the Arts Council, Central Florida Cellular, President of the Florida Telephone Association, on the Board of the MartinCounty Tax Payers Association, Past Chairman of the Indiantown Chamber, Past Chairman of the Stuart-Martin County Chamber of Commerce, 1995-96, and Chairman of the Board of Indiantown Bank.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Post III.
He is survived by his wife Linda Post, and mother-in-law, Carmella Pascucci.
A visitation will be 11:30AM 1:30 PM, and 5:00PM 7:00 PM Wednesday, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
A Funeral service will be held 10:00AM, Thursday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
