Robert Neal Swinton, 75, of Stuart, passed away peacefully September 11, with loved ones by his side. Bob, as everyone knew him, was born to the late Robert L. and Mary Jane Swinton on February 23, 1951, in St. Paul, MN. Bob graduated Washburn High School in 1969 and later attended the University of Minnesota Morris.
Bob enjoyed spending time with friends and family and playing golf. Bob was a musician and the guitar was his passion. His passion for the guitar started at the age of nine years old when he began classical guitar instruction. Over the years, he has embraced a variety of musical styles and has performed for audiences across the country. In 1988, Bob moved to Stuart, Fl. where he resided for the rest of his life. In 1999, Bob married the “Love of his Life” the late, Juanita Swinton who kept him on his toes and always remained in his heart.
Bob continued his music career as years went by playing private parties, weddings, special events. He played for a number of years at the Marriott on Hutchinson Island and various other venues. His greatest joy, was his teaching children the art of playing guitar. His students were his kids and the bond with “His kids” remained strong long after the guitar lessons ended.
