Robert D. Whitman, 87, of Lauderhill, died August 29, 2011 at Vitas in Lauderdale Lakes. He was born February 5, 1924 in New York City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was and airline mechanic before retirement.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Marsha Brigida of Pompany Beach and Lisa Healy of N. Miami and a son: Billy Whitman of Miami, and was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia in 2005.
Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
