Obituary of Robert Wilson
Robert R. Wilson, 98, of Sandhill Cove, Palm City, died Saturday August 15, 2009.
Mr. Wilson was born April 28, 1911 in Cleveland, OH and moved to Stuart area 34 years ago from Orchard Lake, Michigan.
He graduated from Shaw High School in Cleveland, OH, attended Dartmouth College and Western Reserve University, where he graduated with honors in 1933, and in 1935 he received an MBA from Harvard Business School. After graduation he worked for Reynolds Spring Company in the plastic division. In 1942 he moved to Washington to work for the Office of the Quartermaster General, developing plastic items for the War Department. After World War II he worked for Monsanto Chemical Company and later for Rockwell International in Detroit. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and Stuart Yacht and Country Club.
Survivors include his daughters Sally Arbuthnot of Lusby, MD, Barbara Teal of Montclair, VA, and Patricia Bird of Weeki Wachee, FL., and 6 grandchildren.
Services will be private.
