Obituary of Rodney Doran
Rodney L. Doran, 61, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died January 8, 2011 at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 6 years coming from Bloomfield, Connecticut.
He had been human resource manager for Home Depot and the Emhardt Corporation. He also was a musician, playing the saxophone and flute.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Linda Doran of Port St. Lucie; sons, Basil Doran and Troy Doran, both of New Britain, Connecticut, William Stack of Hartford and Matthew Stack of West Suffield, Connecticut; his mother Emma "Emily" Doran of Haines City, Florida; his father Basil E. Doran of Port St. Lucie and six grandchildren, Nayeli Doran and Karina Doran of New Britain, Marsalis Doran and Tayden Doran of Hartford and Joshua Stack and Hannah Stack of West Suffield, Connecticut.
SERVICES: A Memorial Gathering will be on January 16, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM at Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel.
