Roger R. Buzatu M.D., 46, of Palm City, passed away January 18, 2016 at his residence, after 5 years of living with ALS. He was born in Bucharest, Romania, and immigrated to the United States in 1977, and settled in Cleveland, OH. He was an undergraduate of Ohio State, attended Medical School, and did his residency in Fairview Hospital. Roger and Rosie eventually moved to Coral Springs and he worked in several hospitals in South Florida. He has been a resident of Palm City for 8 years, and was a part of the Surgical Team in the Martin Medical Group.
Roger loved his work, and taking special care of each of his patients. He was a lover of music, painting and gardening. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City and the Fellow College of Surgeons.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Buzatu of Palm City; daughters, Sofia and Cristina Buzatu of Palm City; mother, Theodora Buzatu M.D. of Cleveland, OH; brother, Dan Buzatu of Benton, AR; in-laws, Carlos Sacasa M.D. and Cecilia Sacasa of Pompano Beach; Paola Sacasa and her husband, Stephen Stukey of Tampa; Carlos Sacasa and his wife, Monica of Fort Worth, TX, and Mario Sacasa and his wife Kristin of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexandru Buzatu M.D.
Visitation: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, Friday, January 22, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
