Roger Fontus

On August 11th 2022 , Roger Fontus passed away at the at the age of 60.  He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His family migrated to the United States-Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from South Shore High School. Shortly after high school he joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Fort Bennigs, GA. During his time in the military he traveled to many different countries in Europe. He received the following medals and accomplishments during his time of service:

Sharp Shooter Qualification Badse(M-16),Second Class Qualification Badse, (Hand Grenade) Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster Overseas Service Ribbon.He was married in 1984 and has one daughter Daniel Fontus. Roger was fun loving, outgoing and he had a great personality. People always gravitated towards him. He loved to cook and share his meals with his family and friends. He is survived by his Father - Nelson Fontus, Mother - Rosita Fontus, Daughter - Danielle Fontus, Sister - Margaret Lubin, Brothers - Fritz and Mario Fontus. Nephews - Steven Fontus and Mario Nelson Jr Fontus, Nieces - Franchesca and Morgan Fontus Grand-Nephews Julian and Christian Fontus.

Roger will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15 at 2pm at
