Ronald Curless was born on October 8th, 1941 to Lester Curless, Sr and Bernice Griffiths. He graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1959. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force and did morse code in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.

He married Peggy Hale Hauser on June 21st, 1981 and became a father to Anne, Carrie and Jennifer. He is retired from St. Louis Terminals and Pratt Whitney where he worked in storage and shipping. His most recent and favorite job was being a security guard for Martin Downs in Palm City. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stuart. He was an avid bowler and won several tournaments.

He was predeceased by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his children, Anne Goodman (David), Carrie Moody (Danny), and Jennifer Burk (Chris) and his grandchildren Max and Paige Goodman, Avery and Emily Moody, Sean and Cody Burk. Other survivors include his nephews Randy Curless, Craig Curless and his niece Julie Curless-Summerfield.
