IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald
Johnson
March 10, 1945 – August 13, 2021
Lantana - Ronald Johnson died in his home on August 13th, 2021. He was afflicted with Leukemia and fought hard, like he did his entire life. Born in North Carolina 3/10/1945, he is predeceased by his parents Lester and "Eva". Survived by his husband David Smith,
two children Michelle Peguero and Keith Johnson, and 6 grandchildren (Ashley, Luis, Dylan, Caden, Colson and Ryland)
Ron grew up in North Carolina and learned the value of hard work and independence. He graduated from high school and went on to serve his country in the US Air Force, serving in many parts of the world including Thailand.
After serving his country he started his 30 year career with Bell South in Boynton Beach, FL. He married in 1972 and had two beautiful children. Ron became actively involved with the community, ran for city council and won. It was a proud accomplishment for him. Anyone that was fortunate to call Ron a friend knew how politically active he was and how important it was for him to leave the world a better place for everyone. He fought for what he thought was right and expected others to do the same.
Ron and Marguerite divorced in 1980 and he set on a new path. In 1981 he met and spent the next forty years with his life partner and husband, David Smith.
