Obituary of Rose Walsh

Rose Walsh, 96, of Palm City FL, died August 31, 2013, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Harper House, Stuart, FL.

Born in Regio, Calabria, Italy, she was a resident of Palm City for 35 years coming from, Hollywood, Florida. She was a resident of Florida for 43 years coming from Staten Island, NY.

Prior to retirement she was a seamstress for many years on Staten Island. She also was a talented pianist and had played on the radio.

She was one of the twenty six original members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.

Survivors include a son, William J. Walsh of Palm City; a daughter, Rosemary Walsh of Palm City; three grandchildren, Kerry Vega, William Walsh and Wendy Walsh and two great grandchildren, Kelly and Emily Vega. He was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Walsh.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
