Rosita Rodriguez Perez

On February 18th, 2024, Sunday morning at 1:59am, our angel, Rosie, age 51, transitioned peacefully from our lives surrounded by her loving family and friends at her beautiful home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.  Although she lost her battle with Glioblastoma, Rosie's passing was filled with warmth and love.

Despite battling long nights of fatigue and uncertainty, she remained vibrant, positive, and drew courage to remain a pillar of strength to those that love her.  A beloved daughter, mother, wife; compassionate sister, grandmother, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend.  Rosie stood as a guiding light to all who admired her.  Rosie's altruistic heart brought joy, laughter, and kindness to everyone in her path.  To know her was to truly love her and be fully, unconditionally loved in return.  She had a zest for life, and she enjoyed every experience life offered with grace, style, and peace.

Rosie was raised in troublesome Chicago, yet her character and determination provided examples of poise and strength as she helped raise her three younger brothers.  Within her family and throughout her life, she was the facilitator of unity and togetherness. She pursued her education and began a successful career path in the hospitality industry.  She excelled further developing her friendly personality and outstanding work ethic. In the late 1990's, Rosie relocated to Miami and became a wonderful mother of two and subsequently a Bonus Mom to two more kids. As a parent, she worked long hours and dedicated her life to ensuring her son and daughter had everything they needed.  Her motherly love extended to all her nieces and nephews.

In 2020 while working in Aventura, Florida her leadership skills blossomed in property management.  During this time Rosie began affirming the leader and girl boss she always was.  Rosie instilled this role within herself and her coworkers. She provided positive change by helping others succeed thus making a valuable impact in the workplace and in others' lives.  Although she managed three corporate buildings, she found great joy in managing three loving grandchildren.  As she contemplated her future, in 2021, she moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida where she built her forever home with the love of her life.

Throughout her life Rosie had an appetite for adventure.  Alongside her family, she enjoyed traveling and nature.  She captured many precious moments beneath rainbows and waterfalls in Kauai, Puerto Rico, California, and Europe.  Her exuberance was primarily traveling with her family. Her road trips throughout the United States and family reunions in Chicago, Florida, and New York always brought happiness to her friends and family.  Her love for nature kept her heart warm and encapsulated her effortless vibe in warmth.

Rosie relished in the little moments. Whether enjoying her cafecito, caring and pampering her loving dog Beigey-boo, or unwinding in her favorite rocking chair to watch the pink sunsets on the lake at her beautiful home.  Her legacy will live on through the colors in the sky, the sounds of her favorite songs, and the love in our hearts.  Her essence of love will forever guide us and continue to bring strength to her adoring family.
