Rowena (Roe) Schneider, 95, of Cornelius, NC, entered into the eternal presence of the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Roe was a native of Grove City, PA. She attended nursing school at Northeast Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, where she met her husband, John. They married and settled in Jeffersonville, PA, where they raised their daughters Cheryl and Lynn. She was a wonderful and beloved mother to her two girls. Roe worked as a nurse in Norristown, PA. She and her husband retired to Indiantown, FL, where they enjoyed the company of many friends, loved their retirement community and played golf two or three times a week. Following the death of her husband in 2005, Roe moved to Cornelius, NC. She was a partner at Grace Covenant Church where she attended a number of Grace Women classes and events, and was active in the Grace Senior Ministry, the Yarns of Blessing ministry and the Bulletin team. Roe enjoyed traveling and playing golf with her husband, needlepoint, playing cards with her neighbors on Wednesday evenings, and spending time with dear friends who were like family, Marlene Floyd and Fernanda Vieira. Roe was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, Roosevelt and Leona Cornelius, her step-mother Margaret Cornelius, her brother Ray and her sister, Hope.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Schlosser (Rich) and Lynn Schneider, her grandchildren Julie Kruse (Matt) and Adam Schlosser (Jeni), great-grandchildren Zachary, Micah, Alyssa, Jake, Ashley and Lauren; brother Glenn, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Palm City, FL. A service to celebrate Roe's life will be held at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC on Saturday April 15th at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Seniors "Christmas in July" fund, or the "Yarns of Blessing" ministry at Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC, 28031.
