Obituary of Rudolph Fabrizio

Dr. Rudolph Fabrizio, age 84, of Palm City, Florida, died Friday morning, May 1, 2015 at a hospice near his home surrounded during his final days by his two eldest daughters. Born March 24, 1931, in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Ernesto and Marie Fabrizio.

Rudolph was the Director of Anesthesia at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York, where he worked for more than 35 years. He enjoyed country music, line dancing, and watching the stock market. He regularly visited the Catholic Church nearby his home to say prayers for the people he loved. He donated generously to the chapel at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Rudolph attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan and completed medical school at New York University in 1955. He was Phi Beta Cappa. He was also a Captain in the United States Army.

He is survived by his five children, Donna and Brent DuBois of Palm City, Florida, Elizabeth Fabrizio of Boynton Beach, Florida, Noreen Ehrlich of Greenwich, Connecticut, Steven and Adrienne Fabrizio of Savannah, Georgia, and Christopher Fabrizio of Savannah, Georgia; and 4 grandchildren, Steven Fabrizio, Ryan Fabrizio, Brock DuBois and Braedon DuBois; and many other loving cousins and relatives.

Visitation for Rudolph Fabrizio will be held at 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Florida Elks Club Children Therapies, Harry-Anna Trust Fund, PO Box 49, Umatilla, FL 32784 in Rudolph's memory.
