Russell Junior Bailes, 90, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his home.

Born in Quinwood, WV, he had been a resident of Stuart 48 years from Quinwood.

Before retiring he was a coal miner.

During World War II he served in the U.S Army and was a paratrooper.

Survivors include his children, Judy Foster and her husband Loren of Richmond, KY, William "Bud" Bailes and his wife Connie of Palm City, FL, Jim Bailes and his wife Barbara of Quinwood, WV, Anna Yeager of Stuart, FL, Brenda Livermore and her husband Roger , Jeff Bailes and his wife Stephanie all of Stuart, Jean Brandenburg and her husband Everett of Richmond, KY and Mark Bailes of North Florida; his sister, Thelma Jean Critchley and her husband Roy of West Virginia; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Bailes; his daughter, Carolyn Phelps; his son-in-law, John Yeager and his brother Hobert Bailes.
