Russell Bennett Mastroff, 54, of Palm City passed away on December 22, 2018.

Russell built a whole world for himself from Palm City to Fort Pierce and beyond. He died on December 22 ^nd knowing he was loved by many.

Russell had a mind for business and a heart for family. The two intertwined so often that the business became like an extended family to him.

Russell was born on April 10 ^th, 1964. He grew up in Miami Florida and graduated from Killian high school before going off to college in Alabama.

Russell returned to Florida after college to work with his father Marvin Mastroff at Cold Air Distributors Warehouse of Florida. Where he would eventually take over and continue to grow the company to where it is today. Cold Air now has 19 warehouses all across the state and a reputation that extends around the world.

Russell met Davita, his wife in 1990 at Cold Air. Their love is a love for the ages. They were each other's "it." This led to decades of a relationship and two weddings. Russell is survived by his wife, their daughter Raechel Mastroff, mother Elinor Mastroff, Sister Laura Barry (Frank), Niece and Nephew Alli and Joey Barry, Uncle Donald Matlin, and his in-laws Eva and Ed Stokes.

Russell loved being a member of Federated Auto Parts, finding not only like minds but also friends. He was proud to serve as a member of their executive committee.

Russell loved football. He continued his father's tradition of holding season tickets to the Dolphins Stadium. When he could not attend a game, he could be found watching the game on TV. He was also an avid fan of The University of Alabama's team. (Roll Tide.) His favorite band was The Beatles. He knew every lyric and every fact there was to know about them. Movies, TV, and other Pop Culture gave him joy. His favorite genre was fantasy, a big favorite of his being Game of Thrones. He also loved superhero films, reading comics even as a child. Russell loved to travel. He took his family all over the world to gift them with new experiences and fond memories that will never be forgotten. He was also a major history buff, spending his free time reading about America and the rest of the world. He loved sharing his knowledge with others.

But Russell's favorite aspect of all of these things is that they could be shared with his family and friends.

Russell will be missed by all. He impacted the lives of everyone who knew him and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park , 2001 SW Murphy Road  Palm City at 10 am on Thursday December 27 ^th with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 9 am. All Cold Air warehouses will be closed Thursday December 27 ^th in honor of his memory. Shiva will be held on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 pm to 8 pm.
