Obituary of Ruth Atkinson
Ruth E. Atkinson, 84, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died, November 20, 2009 at Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart, FL.
Born in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, she had lived in Hobe Sound for over 25 years coming from Massachusetts.
Before retiring she had been an executive secretary in the mental health field.
She had been a member, treasurer and a lay minister at the First United Methodist Church of Hobe Sound.
Survivors include; daughters, Linda Thomas of Farmington, New Hampshire, Cathena Ferrero of San Diego, California and Robin Atkinson of Crystal, Maine; a son, Edward C. Atkinson of Umatilla, Florida; a sister, Claire Atkinson of Hobe Sound; a brother, Norman Guild; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Atkinson in May 2009 and a sister, Phyllis Campbell.
SERVICES: There will be a Graveside Service at 10:30 AM on November 23, 2009 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
