Obituary of Ruth Diamond
RUTH M. DIAMOND, age 87, of Palm City, FL, known as Mickey to family and close friends, passed away peacefully on July 24. She was born in New York City on August 24, 1920.
She is survived by two nieces, Christine Barber of Wilton, CT and Terry A. Carey of Milford, CT as well as a great-nephew, Michael Carey of Stratford, CT.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Diamond, her brother, John Kramer and her sister, Patricia Barber.
She was a manager for AT&T in White Plains, NY for almost 30 years before retiring to Palm City with her brother.
She possessed a strong will, an independent spirit and a quick wit. She also had a lifelong love of all animals, but especially dogs and cats. She was also very generous and made regular donations to numerous charities.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, FL. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL.
