Obituary of Ruth Evans
Ruth Charles Evans, 93, of Palm City, FL, Florida died on April 25, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Palm City for 12 years coming from Naples, FL. Prior to that, she lived in Fort Lauderdale. She had been a Florida resident for over 70 years.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Pompano First Church of the Nazarene and the Naples Church of the Nazarene for many years where she was a member of the Women's ministry. She was also a member of the World Mission, the Women of the Moose and was an Elkette in Fort Lauderdale.
Survivors include a son, William B. Evans Jr. and his wife, Pam of Hobe Sound, FL; daughters, Elizabeth A. Murray and her husband, Don of Coconut Creek, FL, Wendy L. Berning and her husband, Fred of Palm City and Cora-Lynne Wimberly and her husband, Bill of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Laurel Kaye Murray of Mountain View, AR, Dawn Elizabeth Taylor and her husband, Michael of Coconut Creek, FL, Jason W. Berning and his wife, Carrie of Marco Island, FL, Jennifer L. Berning of Naples, FL, William P. Wimberly and his wife, Margaret of Plant City, FL and Jessica L. Bronson and her husband, Kyle of Tomball, TX; five great grandchildren, Jenna M. Conklin and her husband, Dave of Chattanooga, TN, Theresa M. Taylor of Coconut Creek, FL, Cassandra T. Christensen of Coconut Creek, FL, Cory Berning of Marco Island, FL, and Rylynne G. Bronson of Tomball, TX and one great great-grandchild, Harper E. Conklin of Chattanooga, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Evans Sr., mother, father, brothers & sisters.
Services: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 PM with a service at 3:00 PM on April 28, 2013 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with Pastor Richard Ungerbuhler, officiating. There will be a graveside service at 1:45 PM on April 29, 2013 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Pompano Beach, FL.
