Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she had been a resident of Palm City for 25 years and a South Florida for 33 years coming from her birthplace.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Gerald W. Mefferd of Palm City; a son Boyd C. Mefferd of Canton, Connecticut; daughters Deborah Mefferd of Denver, Colorado and Lucinda Mefferd of Ben Lomond, California and 5 grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
