Obituary of Ruth Shawver
Ruth Elaine Shawver, 85, died August 20, 2007 at Emerald Health Care in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
She was born in Van West Virginia, and lived in the Port St. Lucie area 29 years, coming from Cross Lanes, West Virginia.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her faithful husband of 66 years, Clarence F. Shawver, Jr.; sons, Clarence F. (Lucky) Shawver, III, of Palm City; Daniel W. Shawver of Port St. Lucie; brother, Rexford Earl Workman of Elkview, West Virginia; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Workman; mother, Edna Chandler Workman; brothers, Frank Workman; Eugene Workman; Terry Workman; sisters, Anthony Dorsey; Essie Nasby, Fay Workman, Audrey Koubek and Georgie ODell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Community Care, 800 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 101-B, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
Services: Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Friday, August 24, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home with a graveside committal service immediately following at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com
