Obituary of Salvatore Curcio
Salvatore "Sammy" Curcio, 88, of Palm City, FL, passed away at the Treasure Coast Hospice Hay Madeira House, Stuart on October 1, 2013.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a resident of Palm City for 14 years coming from, Ocala, Florida.
During World War II he served in the US Army.
Prior to retirement he had been a police officer with the Nassau County New York Police Department. He was a member of the Nassau County New York Police Benevolent Association and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
He is survived by his wife of years, Madeline Curcio of Palm City, daughters, Angela Duryea of West Babylon, NY and Marie Pettit of Palm City; a sister Muffie Pannullo of Woodbridge, New Jersey; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Joseph Curcio in 2010, a sister, Catherine Giordano and brothers, brothers, John Curcio and Teddy Curcio.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on October 4, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
