Obituary of Samuel Bexon
SAMUEL BEXON, of Hobe Sound, FL, formerly of Falmouth, ME, passed away on March 19, 2008.
He was born on April 16, 1930 the son of Samuel and Maude (Morrow) Bexon in Wallasey, England. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. After Samuel completed his education in England, he joined the Royal Navy and was a cook for the Admiralty where he met his wife Anna Shearer and started their family. He later worked in an Atomic Power Plant and in 1958 moved to Canada to work in the gold mines. Samuel later immigrated to the United States to work as a Gentlemans Gentleman for a wealthy industrialist (Charles Shipman Payson). Samuel worked for the Payson family 25 years taking care of the Stonecroft Estate in Falmouth, Maine.
Samuel retired to Florida in 1990. During this time he made many good friends and found a new loving companion, Jackie Robins. Samuel was a sports fan; he especially enjoyed golf and fishing. His wife Anna, his parents and a sister Maude, predeceases Samuel.
He is survived by his loving companion, Jackie Robins and three children: son, Sam and his wife Chris, grandson Sam and his wife Anne, granddaughter Karen Rodgers and her husband Christopher; grandson, Trevor; daughter, Linda Napolitano and husband, John, grandsons, John Napolitano, Zachary Napolitano, and Mitchell Napolitano; son, Ian and partner Terry Trask, granddaughters, Michelle & Sarah Trask, and a sister Muriel MacKinnon. In addition, Samuel has three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 Southwest Murphy Rd., Palm City, Fl. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfuneral.com
