Obituary of Samuel Carvelli, Sr.

Samuel Carvelli, 86, died January 2, 2011 at Edgewater Pointe Estates in Boca Raton, FL. He was born in Depew, NY, was formerly of Fort Pierce, FL and lived in Florida for 22 years, having moved from New Jersey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII.

He was a member of Church of the Assumption in Pomona, NJ, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Absecon, NJ and St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach, FL.

He was a builder for 30 years before he started Carvelli Realtors, in which he had 13 offices in Atlantic County, NJ. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for 25 years in Galloway, NJ, Past President of the Atlantic County Home Builders Association, Past Mayor of Galloway Township, NJ, a member of the Atlantic County Fireman's Association, and served as a director of the Pinehurst Independent Civic Club.

Survivors include his daughters, Christine Maccarone of Parkland,FL and Becky Rizzuto of Hobe Sound, FL; two grandchildren; brothers, Robert Carvelli Sr., Joseph Carvelli, Raymond Carvelli Sr. and Stephen Carvelli Sr.all of New Jersey; and sisters, Betty Bacher and Mary Keubler both of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Antoinette "Toni" Carvelli in 2009; son, Sammy Carvelli Jr., and sister, Roselyn Judd.

Visitation: 9:00 - 10:30AM, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, FL.

Entombment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
