Sonny was larger than life, he had a radiant and infectious smile that would light up the room. His wit and humor were contagious. He had a passion for carousels and loved witnessing the joy from the riders. Sonny's first job was the Asbury Park boardwalk carousel. "$5 on the field!" Sonny enjoyed playing craps during the occasional family casino outing . However, he was most passionate about his family as they were the center of his world.

Sonny was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie Spizzuco . He is survived and remembered by their sons : Sam Spizzuco, III and his wife Elsie of Palm City, and Michael Spizzuco , Sr. and his wife Daphne of New Jersey ; predeceased by his daughter, Mary Madebach and survived by her husband, Dennis of Palm City . He is survived by the loves of his life, his grandchildren: Chryl Leeds, Ashley Spizzuco, Samantha Spizzuco, Michael Spizzuco, Jr. and his wife, Marissa; and great-grandson: Shawn Foder . Sonny was preceded in death by his 8 siblings : Anthony Spizzuco, Dolores Meier , Antoinette Luna , Georgiana Spizzuco, Jackie Spizzuco, Daniel Spizzuco, Phyllis Spizzuco, and Elizabeth Spizzuco.

Visitation: 10:00AM to 1 2 :00 P M, Friday , February 3, 2023 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel. Funeral service to follow immediately after in the chapel. Entombment will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
