Obituary

Sandra Harper passed away at 2:00pm on May 4th, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer disease. Sandra was born Sandra Smith in Ohio on August 10th, 1944. Shortly afterward her family moved to Florida where she spent her childhood in Orlando. Although both of her parents passed away in her early twenties, Sandra continued her education by working her way though college at the University of Florida, where she earned a degree in accounting in 1966.

Sandra began her career at the IBM Corporation where she met and married Tom Harper. Together they held various positions with IBM at locations including Denver, Shreveport, Chicago, Dallas, and finally Boca Raton Florida. Shortly after their retirement Tom passed away and on the advise of a friend in 2001, Sandra moved to Stuart Florida.

Throughout her life Sandra was outgoing, energetic and very active. Her first love was SCUBA diving where she dove in many areas of the world, her favorite being the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. She is survived by her sister Linda, one year her senior, who lives in Longwood, Florida.

I will miss her dearly and will cherish each of the past sixteen years I spent with her, from the fun loving and the exciting to ultimately the sad.

May God hold her in the palm of His hand. Her dear friend Griff Williams.
