Obituary

Sandra Marie "Sandi" Kelly, 79, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted follower of Jesus Christ, passed peacefully at home on Monday, October 5, 2026, with her husband of 55 years, Richard M. Kelly, near her side.

Sandi was born in Salinas, California, to her loving parents, George and Mildred Dombroski, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City and went on to college. She later became assistant to the President of Bank of America in San Francisco, where she met Richard, a rising at the bank, who would become the love of her life.

Sandi and Richard shared 55 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith and family. She was the devoted mother of Sean Kelly and his wife, Leah, and Christopher Kelly and his wife, Patricia, and the loving grandmother of Coralin, Nicole, Maxwell, Saffron, and Flynn. She is also survived by her brother, David.

Above all, Sandi loved Jesus Christ and His Word. She had a special heart for those who were hurting and devoted herself to healing ministry, helping many find emotional and spiritual wholeness through prayer, compassion, and the love of Christ.

For the final ten years of her life, Sandi courageously lived with Parkinson's disease. Through the challenges it brought, her faith remained steadfast.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7

One of Sandi's most treasured passages was Psalm 23. Its closing promise beautifully expresses the faith by which she lived: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

Sandi leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and service. She will be deeply missed by Richard, her family, and the many lives she touched.

She loved her family. She loved God's Word. She loved helping those who were hurting. And most of all, Sandi loved Jesus.

After 55 years together, the young woman Richard first met in San Francisco remained the love of his life until the Lord gently called her home to Heaven.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13
