Born Sanford Frederick Levine in New York City to Rose and Louis Levine. He is predeceased by his wife Annette Levine. Sanford is survived by son, William Levine, daughter, Licia Brennan, and grandson, Kenneth Brennan. He will be remembered as an inspiring history teacher at Gorton High School in New York.
