Obituary of Santo Coco

Santo J. "Sam" Coco, 83, of Palm City, FL, died April 16, 2009 at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart

Born in Rochester, New York he had lived in Palm City for over 9 years coming from Pompano Beach, Florida. He came to Florida from Lauren Lane, Norwich, Connecticut.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

Before retiring he had been a chemist for Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Groton, Connecticut for 15 years.

He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Coco of Palm City; sons, Joseph Coco of North Stonington, Connecticut, Andrew Coco of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Daniel Coco of Palm Bay, Florida; daughters Anita Coco of Beverly, Massachusetts, Mary Vanhoesen of Norwich and Phyllis Pendleton of Jonesboro, Tennessee; a sister Mary Columbo of Rochester; 8 grand children and 3 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be on April 19, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a family memorial at 7:00 PM at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on, April20, 2009 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
