Obituary of Sergio Valbuena

Sergio Fernando Valbuena, 33, of Stuart, died September 8, 2011. He was born in Bogota, Colombia and had been a resident of Stuart for 8 years, having moved from West Palm Beach. He had been a co-owner of Great Florida Insurance franchise in Okeechobee.

He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Universidad Externado de Colombia in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Paola Valbuena of Stuart; his parents, Fernando and Pilar Valbuena of Port St. Lucie; mother, Nelsy Benito of Long Island, NY; brother, Esteban Felipe Valbuena of Port St.Lucie; sister, Natalia Valbuena of Port St. Lucie; and grandmothers, Julia Rodriguez of Colombia and Anais Adela Martinez of Colombia. He was preceded in death by his brother, Diego Arturo Valbuena in 2009.

Visitation: 1:00PM - 9:00PM, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00AM, September 12, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
