Obituary of Shawn Marques

Shawn Michael Marques, 51, of Port St. Lucie, died unexpectedly January 22, 2014 at Tradition Medical Center. He was born in Mineola, NY and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1982, having moved from Medford, Long Island, NY. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Martin County since 1983, working in the Martin County Correctional Facility. He was an avid photographer, and active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a faithful blood donor to the American Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Marques of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Meghan Marques of Port St. Lucie and Lauren Marques of Washington, DC; brother, Donald Marques of Mountainview, MO; sister, Debra Marques-Seaman of Canton, NY; brothers, Lance Marques of Patchogue, Long Island, NY and Scott Marques of Mountainview, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Donald Marques.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Grace Place in Stuart.

Funeral Service: immediately following at 7:00PM
