Sheldon
Klotz
September 30, 1932 – April 8, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Sheldon "Shelly" Klotz (born September 30, 1932), who passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, in Palm City, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.
Shelly was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Paterson, New Jersey.
He served honorably in the Korean War, demonstrating courage, dedication, and a strong sense of duty. He graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, becoming a lifelong devotee of jazz and lover of New Orleans culture. Throughout his career, Sheldon played a pivotal role in developing malls and real estate development projects. He loved Miami Dolphins football, cooking, reading, entertaining, and spending time in his earlier years with family at the Jersey Shore and later in Palm City, Florida. The most important thing to Shelly was spending time with family and friends and creating cherished memories with loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Pauline Klotz, who was a constant source of love and support. His children include Margaret “Peggy” Ruzika (Stephen), Steven Klotz (his late wife, Dawn), Richard Corwin (Sue Aulenbacher), Jeffrey Corwin (predeceased), Lynda Slade (Andre Bendavid) and his late wife Doris Klotz (predeceased).
He is survived by his grandchildren: Kyle Ruzika and Chris Ruzika, Jessica Cohen (Jason), Jordan Klotz (Jennifer), Dustin Slade (Eliana), and Noah Slade (Daniel Horowitz) as well as great grandchildren, Charlotte, Cooper and Maya.
